APAC IT Systems Administrator

Responsibilities:

The person in this position will be responsible for managing all the systems and software associated with operations- Odoo, Microsoft, MDM, etc. Employee will be expected to develop a working knowledge of our ERP system in order to consult with our developers on projects. Employee must be willing to grow and learn in each of these areas.  

• Oversee daily performance of computer systems and ensuring network functionality. This includes ensuring all systems are running efficiently, monitor for potential failures, and take corrective action as needed to reduce downtime.  

• Set up, manage and troubleshoot LANs, WANs, VPNs, and network hardware.  

• Install and upgrade computer software, hardware, and applications.  

• Manage backup processes, data recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

• Provide technical support for end-users, diagnosing and resolving system issues.  

• Collaborate with Odoo developer to implement updates and new module additions. Ensure proper training and proper usage for all employees.

• Regularly update security protocols, monitor network for suspicious activities, and implement data protection policies.  

• Customize systems to meet specific user or organizational needs.  

• Analyze system performance and make adjustments to optimize speed and capacity.

• Keep records of changes, updates, users, and system configurations.  

• Create, modify, and remove user accounts and permissions.  

• Manage MDM- (currently using Mosyle) control, secure and monitor company’s devices that are connected to our network and ensure that employees are compliant and following safety protocols.  

• Systems Administrator for Microsoft- responsible for employee onboarding, system maintenance, configuration, installation, security, and reliable operation of Microsoft systems.  

• Provide ongoing technical training for employees to ensure they are using the software available to them to its fullest potential and create documentation on system procedures and updates.

Requirements

• BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field of study; advanced degree preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

• Must have experience in Odoo used in a manufacturing environment

• Must have experience in a MAC environment: Apple Certified System Administrator preferred

• Must have experience administrating an MDM (Jampf preferred)

• Must have experience in Microsoft systems administration, Microsoft certified preferred

• Exposure to ERP systems; Odoo preferred

• Basic knowledge of small business cybersecurity measures

• Must have experience writing standard operating procedures and enforcing best practices in employees.  

• Excellent communication (English required) and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
